Omar900ss Posted May 11, 2019 Share #1 Posted May 11, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) HI Everyone, I am new to this and also my first leica is a budget D-Lux 109... anyhow, I am looking for a nice cool leather protector and the issue I have is that a lot of sellers on ebay claim that the cover for a 109 will fit a 7 and visa versa. I checked some comparison reviews and apparently the 7 the thicker...can someone here other than an e-bay trader tell me the truth. If I buy a cover meant for a 7 will it fit my 109 and if I buy one for a 109 and one day upgrade to a 7 will it fit? any help greatly appreciated. Advertisement Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Hi Omar900ss, Take a look here Leica D-Lux 109 and D-Lux 7 Leather protector. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Boxbrownie Posted May 11, 2019 Share #2 Posted May 11, 2019 Do n0t know about that particular case, but I bought the genuine leather case for the Panasonic LX100, the Leica fits fine although you do need to “ease” the corners of the case before as the cameras have different shape corners, round against angled, but the difference is marginal and the case fits fine. And it’s a LOT cheaper........of course if you “must” have the Leica logo on the case it’s not for you. Less likely to be nicked though!
Omar900ss Posted May 11, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted May 11, 2019 That's the thing, none of the leather covers I am looking at say Leica, they're all aftermarket, it was more to see if they would fit. One seller claimed the tripod mounting hole on 7 is different than
