I’m not a collector but am curious because a few years down the line when there’s something significantly better, want to be able to resell at a better price. I like the appearance of both, BTW. Advertisement Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Hi james.liam, Take a look here M10 P: black or safari olive?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Peter Kilmister Posted May 4, 2019 Share #2 Posted May 4, 2019 Trading history in the UK has shown that the 240-P in silver retained higher value than those in black. The difference was small but still significant. I don't know about the safari version.

KFo Posted May 7, 2019 Share #7 Posted May 7, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Safari. Looks good and unique. Although if complete incognito is your goal the safari is not the camera. A surprising number of people have commented on mine(always with me).
james.liam Posted May 11, 2019 Author Share #8 Posted May 11, 2019 Silver glass looks snappy on the Safari, wonder what blacks ones look like.

IkarusJohn Posted May 13, 2019 Share #12 Posted May 13, 2019 Not my cup of tea, I’m afraid. Reminds me of something from the army - everything just green. I prefer silver chrome, though my M10-D is black ...

Herr Barnack Posted May 19, 2019 Share #19 Posted May 19, 2019 The M10 Safari camera is truly beautiful, especially with a chrome lens mounted. As for holding its resale value, I'm doubtful. I have the M-P 240 kit and was startled at how low of a trade-in value it has when I checked - $4000 for the whole kit which was $10,000 when new. I'm keeping it and will use it as a back up when I get my M10-P or M11. I've heard of taking a bath on trades, but the water in a $6000 bath is just too cold for me. james.liam Posted May 19, 2019 Author Share #20 Posted May 19, 2019 No bathing here. Am able to get it at the same price as the black & silver chrome. That's why I ask.
