Below are some shots taken with my S006 while visiting Japan in 2015. I only recently found these as they were tucked away on one of my old external hard drives......... Enjoy

Cheers David.

Me an Nuk are heading to Hokkaido on Tuesday for 9 days.......... really looking forward to the cold weather as Thailand is so so hot right now.

Hopefully the Q2 will be able to handle the cold too.

Hokkaido is amazing. I lived six months in Sapporo in 2005 and 2006. I am not sure how much it has changed, but at the time it was a really nice, livable city. From a visiting standpoint, I loved Hakodate and Otaru. For nature, Jozankei was gorgeous in autumn...I guess it would be in spring too. My guess is that it will not be too cold, then again, my perspective might be warped by living in Iceland. On one trip I rode the train up to Wakkanai and then rented a car and drove around the whole island. My favorite parts were the small towns and coastal nature along the north coast, mostly between Mombetsu and Nemuro. I did not drive out onto the Shiretoko peninsula, but it is supposed to be great, as long as you keep your eyes peeled for bears.

You make Japan very photogenic. Did you shoot handheld?  Tripod? Whats your travel gear setup?

Posts are 6 months old... Neil has since left here for Getdpi and Hasselblad forums.  Pics above were with his S006, which he then changed to S007, which he then changed to.....
