APO-Macro-TL 60 is made for macro and portrait

APO-TL 55-135 is made for long distance shot and portrait.

Just choose your weapon wisely. But you do not need both. Really, I’ve done it before. Too much overlap. And TL 60 is way more useful : better build, real macro 1:1 and faster aperture. Of course I cannot get the 135mm (200mm) reach

For more comparison from sensor

TL 60 has 1:1 magnification at 16 cm distance with smallest object of 16 mm.

TL 55-135 has 1:8 magnification at 100 cm distance with smallest object of 125 mm

100 cm minimum focusing distance at all focal length can be a real problem indoor.

It is possible to focus the TL55-135 closer than one metre IF you fine-tune focus manually. Try it.

Thanks nicci78 :)

You’re welcome.

They are all from beautiful Île de Ré in France

APO-Macro 60 did not make the trip. I shoot the island with TL 11-23 and TL 55-135. Most used lens was 55-135.

I did not keep the 11-23 also. Because somehow I found it in competition with the Q. I decided that I did not need wider than 28mm. But I do need the fast Summilux-Q

This is the closest « macro » shot you can do with TL 55-135mm.

With APO-Macro-TL 60mm you will get the tiny flower fully magnified.

2 photos taken with/without the elpro 3, MF, minimum focus distance, granted it's not 1:1 macro but it's certainly close enough for me.

I'd like to learn more about the elpro filters for these lenses. Old ones and new. Macro is new to me.

Macro, is theoretically 1:1 and above. But if you want to give close-up a try you could do far worse than a Raynox close-up lens. From experience I would recommend the DCR-150, the 250 I find not very user friendly.
