Advertisement Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 Hi scott kirkpatrick, Take a look here It's April. Are the 35 APO SL-SC's arriving?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
grahamhoey Posted April 8, 2019 Share #2 Posted April 8, 2019 B and H for a long while had April 5 as the date it was going to be available. I have one on order. When I called them on April 5 they had deleted the expected timing and didn’t have any more information. Very frustrating.
EddieCheddar Posted April 9, 2019 Share #3 Posted April 9, 2019 My local camera-store guy said that Leica headquarters closes every year for the month of April, therefore we may not see any SL 35 APO's until May. Not sure if this has any truth to it at all -- just sharing what I heard. ☹️ I'm in California, USA, by the way.
Chuck Albertson Posted April 9, 2019 Share #4 Posted April 9, 2019 Their Website says available from April 15, which is more specific than they've been. http://us.leica-camera.com/Photography/Leica-SL/SL-Lenses/Prime-Lenses/APO-Summicron-SL-35
AZN Posted April 9, 2019 Share #5 Posted April 9, 2019 April 15th is what I've read as well. I have one on order at the Leica Store in Sydney (#2 on the pre-order list). Will be curious to see if it actually arrives in people's hands in April...
scott kirkpatrick Posted April 9, 2019 Author Share #6 Posted April 9, 2019 (edited) It's coming on April 15 in both English and German pages of the Leica-Camera main site as well. I think April 4 was from Leica Rumors. Edited April 9, 2019 by scott kirkpatrick
elwyn Posted April 12, 2019 Share #7 Posted April 12, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I spoke to Leica Mayfair (London) yesterday, who had been told by Leica HQ that they can sart selling the SL 35mm on Monday (15th) but that stocks are, and would be very limited (that's not a surprise). SiggiGun Posted April 15, 2019 Share #10 Posted April 15, 2019 Leicastore Paris continues 35 teasing on FB today. No concrete news
jankojanko Posted April 15, 2019 Share #11 Posted April 15, 2019 The Leica homepage now opens with the 35mm and the video with Matt Stuart is back. That should be a sign...
jrp Posted April 15, 2019 Share #12 Posted April 15, 2019 But isn't Leica supposed to be on Easter holiday for the next fortnight?

I'm not interested. Rather than the SL 50, I'll accept the marginal IQ difference and wait for the Panasonic S Pro 50. grahamhoey Posted April 15, 2019 Share #17 Posted April 15, 2019 Traveling in Europe and Asia, hoped to take the 35SL with me. When I saw the email today I went into Leica Store Rome to see if they had any. They are being told next week they will get some. By that time I won’t be here. So I'm starting to hold my breath for the 35/2.0 but expect it will be another month or so. Leica USA has't told my shop anything yet. and I'm not first in line. My plan is to have both 35's available as "normal" lenses on the CL, and the new 35 as its natural focal length on the SL. And then starts a long countdown for the wider lenses coming in 2020... FWIW I just spoke in person with a Leica rep. in Melbourne. A few lenses should arrive in Australia in late April, but the bulk will come mid to late May.
