I'm not a specialist - but the old train stations I've seen so far looked alike at first glance. Both from the outside and inside, they differ from the structural type.

Hello 01m,

Very often Railroads would have a standard plan, with the possibility of modification for specific circumstance, which they might use throughout the entire Railroad System. Or sometimes within a portion of the System. They often did this for stations, towers & a variety of other structures.

The little village that I live in has a smaller version of the station in these photos that was built in the 19th Century by the Pennsylvania Railroad in a number of places throughout its network. It is not exactly the station in the photos but if you were to look at both you would see a "family" resemblance.

Grusse,

Michael
