DaveSee Posted April 1, 2019 Share #1 Posted April 1, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Greets! I don't have an iOS iPhone, but an Android mobile. This post not a "poll," but inquiry about features between Android & iOS mobile versions of FOTOS. Having searched l-camera fora, I did not find a specific thread on the FOTOS app. Am suspecting the iOS version is the primary, more fully featured FOTOS app than that for Android. Yet, am "in the dark" with FOTOS on iOS. Have read here that FOTOS on iOS enables file naming, Am curious what iOS can do that the Android version cannot. Appreciate your experience, including FOTOS on iOS in uniton, Dave
Advertisement Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Hi DaveSee, Take a look here FOTOS mobile app: an inquiry. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
LocalHero1953 Posted April 1, 2019 Share #2 Posted April 1, 2019 I don't have my (android) phone to hand, but I'm not aware of any significant functional differences between the FOTOS apps on the two systems.
scott kirkpatrick Posted April 1, 2019 Share #3 Posted April 1, 2019 (edited) I have both versions running. They are currently the same. When new releases appear, sometimes one and sometimes the other has some new features first, but the objective is to keep them functionally the same. ("bug for bug compatible," almost.) There should be new releases appearing soon, as Q2 support was promised for early April. So far, the camera state controls (such as reaching deep inside to choose file headers) are only offered for the M10-D, which has no other way to set these. For the other cameras, the remote function is pretty basic, and the focus is on letting you get wifi access to a selection of your pictures without needing a laptop. DaveSee Posted April 2, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted April 2, 2019 Thank you for your kind replies! While I am unable to adjust file names, it's that I am unable to set a manual WB value, as may be done with the screened M10 & M10-P which leaves me wanting of this app with my M10-D. in uniton, Dave
scott kirkpatrick Posted April 4, 2019 Share #5 Posted April 4, 2019 I've downloaded both the iOS and the Android versions of 1.2.0 and tried them with my M10-D. The iOS version connected quickly and seems a little faster. The Android version took many tries to connect, and I had to recapture the QR-code, but it also connected finally. No new functions, no new controls accessible (e.g., you still can't specify a lens or set a white balance by temperature or input a copyright or file header). Ho Hum.

Is there a later version 1.2.0? The latest version is 1.2.0 - go to your app store and there should be an update. I think the new version is purely Q2 support though.
