Beautiful light here Jaap! :) If I might suggest two little things, would be to try and keep the top of the tree in the frame and to take out the black spot in the lower right corner, both of which I find pretty distracting on what would otherwise be a truly amazing image!

Best regards,

Vieri

I agree. I had to process on my MacBook Pro and will rework it at home. I thinkI have another version  with the top of the tree whichI can merge and the thing on the lower right is just a swipe of the healing tool ;)

Hi Jaap, glad you found my suggestion useful and I am looking forward to your home-processed version! :)

I like this very much.

Agree with removing the 'black blob' - right margin crop?

I do not know if it is my monitor which is not tuned to your data set for colour reproduction.

The snow looks blue to me.  If it is original exposure how about a UVa or even Uvb filter to reduce it?

Trouble is that that would warm it all up and lose the sense of the cold environment.

Be careful not to lose the small tree on the left - it echoes the main subject beautifully.

Hello Jaap, thank you for the rework, I find this much, much better than the original you posted - the headroom over the tree, and the removal of the black blob on the bottom right, definitely made a huge difference IMHO :) Great job!

Best regards,

Vieri
