fotografr Posted March 22, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 22, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Due to the amount of rainfall in southern California this winter, there is a rare superbloom of poppies. I had planned to drive to the most popular viewing area, Lake Elsinore, until I heard there were 50,000 daily visitors bombarding the slopes. I was disappointed about not seeing the orange poppies but when we took off and flew over the San Bernardino range I was treated to this spectacular sight from my window seat--and I didn't have to deal with traffic jams and people doing selfies in the fields of flowers. Neil Macmillan Posted March 23, 2019 Share #2 Posted March 23, 2019 How considerate of you to not intrude on the selfie shooters. But you are ahead in the long run as you have this rather dramatic image of the poppies on the mountains. I like how the orange yields to blue as you move diagonally across your image from lower left to top right.
