Good news, I've just downloaded some Q2 Raws from photographyblog.com
Delighted that my ageing MBP is able to handle them, little bit slow. But good enough for me.
And I can continue to use Aperture as they are DNG
Still waiting, even more excitedly for delivery..

Come on....

I'll be interested to see how you get on with Aperture, I also still use it and an ageing MBP.

Dave. I love Aperture for its asset management. I tend to process in Photoshop. Using Aperture as a RAW converter.

I use a Guy Gowan action for it, serves me well. My MBP is now fitted with 1tb Ssd and 16g ram.

Processing I found to be much faster than anticipated. I feared the huge files would bog it down. I guess things may change if I process several images one after the other.

I’ll keep you informed.

I put a 4TB SSD in my 2011 (mid-year) iMac and it increased the speed 10X. Stunning really. Only 8GB RAM. Unfortunately it now will not upgrade to the latest OS Mojave.
