what is this rattling inside of Q2 lens

Hello, just purchased  a new Q2  camera from leica store and noticed rattling noise inside lens ,specially  when you move camera body from side to side or upside down.but once you turn on camera and elements move, noise goes away; Is this an anomaly?or expected behavior.

I do not recall hearing this  when i had Leica Q.

Appreciate any input from owners of Q2 camera.

It's normal on the Q and probably on the Q2 as well. Search the threads for OIS and the associated noise it makes when the camera is off.  When camera is turned on it pulls the elements back to center, when off they tend to float a bit. Some are a little more noticeable than others as to the degree of rattle.  Of course if it really is annoying, I'd take it back to be checked.

TOTALLY normal for a Q and I assume a Q2. Lots of threads about this topic. Not an issue most likely.

This kind of "issue" (more correctly a "feature") is becoming common with af  lenses of certain types. I have two Sigmas which do this. I am told it's the result of the af focusing system using electro magnets as part of the focusing mechanism. When power is turned off the components rattle about. When the camera is powered up the magnets lock everything into place. Least that is how I approximately understand it to work.
