Some lovely examples but all of you need to stop it...are you trying to make me homeless?

 

Carsten, that shot (and the ones you have previously posted with it) is incredible. I have a good friend who is a painter who will rush out and buy an M8 and noctilux the minute he sees it!

first one is horribly soft/non-focused

not a good picture at all imo

 

Given that it's a Noctilux wide open and the focus is definitely on the eye of the dog I'm not sure that you can say that it's horribly soft/non-focused at all. It may not be to your aesthetic taste but technically it is showing what it says.

You have a beautiful daughter (?) and a great lens. I know many painters who would rush out to get both the M8 and ask to lend your daughter as well... ;-)
