knopfler1976 Posted March 3, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Some of you probably already saw this but still I was tempted to share it here https://petapixel.com/2019/03/02/aquaman-has-an-impressive-arsenal-of-leica-cameras/ It seems that Jason Momoa is not just a collector but an actual user! Though any Leica M looks tiny in his gigantic hands though... 1
Advertisement Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 Hi knopfler1976, Take a look here Aquaman got M10-D. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
benqui Posted March 3, 2019 Share #2 Posted March 3, 2019 Very cool, but where is the X-U? This would be the perfect Leica for the Aquaman!
250swb Posted March 4, 2019 Share #3 Posted March 4, 2019 (edited) Mmm, working on a 'special project' with Leica, what could it be, a halibut skin covered M10 perhaps, or a barnacle encrusted 'lost at sea' M3 tribute? My wallet will remain shut clam tight. Edited March 4, 2019 by 250swb
Simone_DF Posted March 6, 2019 Share #4 Posted March 6, 2019 I read somewhere else that his mother is a professional photographer and he's been around cameras since he was a kid, and that's where his passion for Leica and cameras in general started.

Dr No Posted March 6, 2019 Share #6 Posted March 6, 2019 Sends flagship cameras to celebrities for free and likely pays them for exposure. Charges loyal paying customers thousands of dollars for bad sensors, failed af motors, continued service failures. Really?

daveco Posted March 7, 2019 Share #8 Posted March 7, 2019 (edited) A company paying a celebrity to promote product sales? Outrageous! Edited March 7, 2019 by daveco

Yes, it's fine if you also pay the bill for your incompetent flaws instead of forcing them on your customer.
knopfler1976 Posted March 18, 2019 Author Share #10 Posted March 18, 2019 Funny thing is I didn't even think about going to see Aquaman when it was on. Now that knowing he's one of us, I want to check it out on iTunes! Maybe a cool Leica owner will save the DC Universe from its misery!

Wow who pissed in your morning cereal today? You do realize that every large company uses ‘personalities’ to hock their wares, right? The market bears the price. The company pays its op-ex. Hopefully the company makes a profit. Sounds like business to me.
diddus Posted March 18, 2019 Share #12 Posted March 18, 2019 if you read his comments some of the posts guessing stuff would be unnecessary. " living on set I have learned from so many wonderful artists I want to thank Zack Synder @cruelfilms and @wfmft for starting my Leica obsession " ---> some might remember the first batman pictures that were taken with the Monochrom by Zach Snyder. Momoa owns or at least shows off a broad range of (older) Leicas - which he would probably not have gotten from Leica -- although the Cine lenses and the newer cameras might have been thrown in for exposure Still doesn't look like he's in it for the money. I read an article that said his mum got him into Leica... Yeah he's passionate about them and doesn't have anything to do with money.
