Well it took me longer to choose this camera than to buy my house, or my car. Bizarre!!!!

Anyway thanks for your patience and advise, now I just need to get the best out of it and know doubt that will take many months, but I am going to enjoy the trip.

Many thanks for all your advise and help, I have a feeling I will need some more on my trip down the Leica road!!!

😉

👻 Nice combo.

Now just use it sometimes, I hope with pleasure.

I'm not fan of softies 😈 even Leica ones that I bought and some lost at first use.

Some reported a quick depletion of battery...

Others reported complete satisfaction.

May I suggest, for first use to "sense the triggering of Leica M" not to use a softie.

But as always, you don't have to do what I suggest of course.

Why not take the Visoflex 020 out ...to sense (or appreciate) the superbe M10 viewfinder ?

But you are free to use them as you like 😇.

I’m pleased you went for a true rangefinder. I don’t recognise the lens although it must be an M fit. You can remove the external viewfinder until you fit anextra wide lens which doesn’t bring up frame markers in the standard viewfinder. However, Live view will work for any focal length. The same applies for long focal length lenses.

good luck.

To go in the same direction as a.noctilux, and lucerne, I would add that the Visioflex is made of thin plastic so it is fragile and leaving it on the body for general use will expose it to damage (self experience☹️😤), particurlarly if you carry the M10 with the Visioflex in a bag.

Enjoy your M10.  It won't take long before you are using your Leica without live view and the Visoflex.  Occasionally, you may review the last frame but when you are confident, you will be manually setting exposure and going back to the pre-digital photographic experience.

Congrats and enjoy!

Now save up some money to buy a Summicron 35 lens. It's excellent. Mine stays on my M10 about 80% of the time.
