As for professional use, I'd ask the professionals who did actually use this as a tool. 

Successful models? Like the M9?  The (not a real M model apparently) typ w40, the QC dogged M10? Great guns Leica.

Well I used the M8 series professionally and now the M9s (I've been a full time professional since 1990). The M9 was and still is a successful camera.

But I'm puzzled why you are even posting since you clearly don't like Leica and this is the Leica Forum. Pehaps you might consider this.
