redlensandgreenbody Posted February 21, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 21, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I accidentally unmounted Elmar 50mm retracted from M10 once. Would it affect the camera seriously?
Advertisement Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 Hi redlensandgreenbody, Take a look here Elmar-M 50mm on M10. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
UliWer Posted February 21, 2019 Share #2 Posted February 21, 2019 Just have a look at your camera: does it bleed? Put your ear on it: does it groan? Touch it: has it got fever? If not my answer to your question is: no. 1
pedaes Posted February 21, 2019 Share #3 Posted February 21, 2019 Are there any signs of damage to the shutter blinds? If not - no. if there are - oops!

I think that's unlikely. They advise not to mount/unmount the lens collapsed to avoid damage to the sides/focus cam. The lens won't touch the shutter. 250swb Posted February 21, 2019 Share #5 Posted February 21, 2019 It won't affect it at all unless you jiggle it around while doing it.
Peter Zapp Posted February 23, 2019 Share #6 Posted February 23, 2019 My mid/end 1990's Elmar-M 50/2.8 has a small black collar arround its rear tubus. When collapsed, it lightly scratches the focus cam. My 1950/60's Elmar 50/2.8 does not.
