dkmoore Posted February 19, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 19, 2019 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I don't mean to chum the water here but I stopped by Leica NJ to have them look over a couple news lenses I purchased to ensure they are adjusted properly and I received the news that my M10P would have to make the journey to Wetzler to replace the rangefinder cam mechanism. Apparently a group of M10Ps will develop an issue with a sticking cam and it will need to be replaced in Wetzler. I have no clue how many cameras this will affect but wanted to provide a heads up if you start noticing focusing issues with your M10P. It will need to go to Germany. Thanks for that. I would be interested if there is a DIY solution.

Wyck Posted February 19, 2019 Share #4 Posted February 19, 2019 My M10P went back to Wetzlar at the start of Feb for focusing issues. I noticed I was struggling to focus at various distances and with different lenses. Infinity was a long way out. I also sent three lenses for various work, looking online at the job number it still shows the service order is in progress, hopefully it won't be much longer. I multiplied that by 2 and assume I'll have it back in a month.
dkmoore Posted February 22, 2019 Author Share #7 Posted February 22, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) For anyone that happens to read this thread again Leica NJ implemented their new repair tracker for customer service. I dropped the camera off on Tuesday and was told the camera would ship out today. Within an hour of leaving I received the email receipt that I dropped off my camera. Today I received notification that my camera did in fact ship. So far so good and a BIG improvement communication wise. Lets see if Wetzler keeps to the 5 day turn around that was promised.
