Morning all,

I am regrettably looking to sell my M6 and Lens as I just don't have the time to develop and scan film these days and it's just not getting used.

I have no idea what the lens is worth - I can't see any for sale/sold on ebay, what is the best way to find this out?

It's a 35mm Summarit-M - in excellent conditions, the glass is perfect.

Any tips/advice would be incredible.

I'm confused: a quick search on eBay both "for sale" and "sold" returns multiple hits...

Edit: this applies to both f/2.4 and f/2.5 versions.

Edit 2: just noticed there's also one for sale in the classifieds here. It should give you another reference point.

I can see nothing but lens caps for summarit-m 35mm.

If I search summarit-m I only see 50mm and 75mm

Go to ebay.com. Not .ca .de, but .com. Put lens in question into the search field. In the filters on the left select only "sold",  do the search. Un-select second filter ebay will apply to spoof the prices (they live on commission) to keep only "sold" results.

This will show you real market price. "Sold" is how much buyers actually were willing to pay.

From my experience, used 35 2.5 is around 1K usd.

Had a trade in quote for £750 - maybe I should just go with that :(

Selling on eBay scares me anyway.

I've sold over $75k of Leica equipment on eBay over the years without one negative experience. You have to use the filters to block users with negative feedback or no history.

Their fees have gone way up recently so that may be a detractor.
