Its an amazingly beautiful set up, I'm thinking of buying it, is that stupid if I plan on using it?

Is it going to make better images that a new M246 off the shelf paired with a new 35 Summicron? Seems to me the additional cost for some fancy leather, a nice strap and some black paint is a bit steep.

Brent,

Leica may be right if it can income some more cash.

In user view, the pleasure to use the "rare and pleasant gear" could pay that premium.

I'm sure that using Leica M (yes, even plain M gear or second hand ones) have nothing to do with "cost-effective" mindset.
