dante Posted February 9, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 9, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) So I discovered accidentally on purpose that an M246 works better than a Nikon with PC Nikkor lenses (in no small part because the EV-2 does not go dark when the lens is stopped down, you can always see the level, and the ISO goes on forever...). I grabbed a 28/3.5 PC because it never hurts with PC to go a little wider (normally, I hate 28mm lenses). Does anyone have any tips on use? So far I have been able to surmise that in portrait mode, going beyond 8mm of shift can cause quality falloff (wow, what a surprise), but otherwise, it seems pretty cool. At f/16, which is a normal shooting aperture for this lens, performance is pretty good shifted. Not Zeiss 18mm good, but reasonably in line with what the sensor can do. The one issue so far is trying to feel my way around distortion. On Lightroom, it lets you pick any lens available, and it looks like the best profile is a 28/2.8D with a little tweak for distortion. Anyone else try this combo? Thoughts?
