I ask myself if taking profit of the Visoflex someone else would be interested on this lens - accessory. IMHO I also would appreciated  to have a 270 mm (with Apo Telyt 135 mm) or a 180 mm (with Apo Summicron 90 mm).

 Francisco.

I believe it would be no challenge for Leica to design and to produce an apo extender-M even in small numbers. With EVF and today's high-ISO performance there is less hassle and more opportunity to use an extender than ever before with film and SLR. Likely it will be not cheaper, but more convenient than to carry full size Leica-R or third-party lenses with adapters. Leica, please include a rotating tripod collar.

Whilst the apo extender-R 2x was very successful, as if almost every apo-lens-owner had one, the overall sales of Leica-R lenses longer than 180mm were small. The same applies to Apo-Leica-M, except for the 90/2. Vintage R 180/3.4, the non-Apo f2.8 and f4 on the other hand today are plentyful and cheap. This could restrict the market for an extender-M to production numbers that are even for Leica too small.
