Leira Posted February 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 7, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I started the firmware 3.1 update according to the instruction. Then the screen went black and I have no idea if it is doing anything there. How long the update process will take? Looking forward to your comments! Advertisement Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 Hi Leira, Take a look here firmware 3.1 update. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Albert2 Posted February 7, 2019 Share #2 Posted February 7, 2019 I just did mine and it only took a couple of minutes tops. The problem I then had was connecting the app to the Q; still to no avail. I scanned the QR code but no connection. I don't think the 3.1 makes it any easier. An idiots guide step by step would be gratefully welcomed please? falcon468 Posted February 7, 2019 Share #3 Posted February 7, 2019 Certainly no expert, but something went wrong. In fact the instructions that you might have read are wrong. The most common error is that you have to turn the camera on and then press the red button at the same time. The post concerning the firmware update on this page discussed that as well. Good luck.
wda Posted February 7, 2019 Share #4 Posted February 7, 2019 Make sure your battery is fully charged before fitting in the camera. Also make sure the latest firmware upgrade is located at root level in its folder structure. You can confirm this by examining the folder in your operating system. jwarren Posted February 8, 2019 Share #5 Posted February 8, 2019 I did the red button thing. Now spinning circle in the viewfinder, nothing on the screen. 15 minutes and no change. Was not given a 'yes/no' screen at all. Yikes.....
LexS Posted February 12, 2019 Share #6 Posted February 12, 2019 (edited) Yeah, the spinning circle is testing dizzyness.... Switch off the camera, take out the battery; after 10 minutes or so, put in the battery and try it again.
