atournas Posted February 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 7, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I don't think it will take me long before I yield to the temptation and get an X typ 113 to join my X1. However, staring at the Lumix LX100 (the Leica D-Lux typ 109 sibling), I see how wrong the choice "internal flash unit / external viewfinder" is! It is the other way round in the Lumix/D-Lux. Advertisement Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 Hi atournas, Take a look here What the 113 needs is an integrated EVF. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Trivette Posted February 7, 2019 Share #2 Posted February 7, 2019 I prefer an EVF for zoom cameras, but I am satisfied with an OVF for fixed focal length cameras such as the X2.

I also use Leica's (external) OVF on the X1; expensive but quite bright. And, by the way, there are compact zoom cameras with in-camera OVF coupled to the zoom lens; for instance, some Nikon Coolpix models The reason behind my original post is the usability of the highly informative EVF on the D-Lux/Lumix. Very pleasant for setting the camera and composing. But exactly what expected from a nearly 2.8-million-dot EVF. Paul
Trivette Posted February 8, 2019 Share #4 Posted February 8, 2019 Yes, I enjoy the EVF on the D-Lux 109. It is one of the reasons I bought it. I use an inexpensive Olympus EVF on the X Vario.
