Hi to all!

I am new to the forum.

Recently decided to pull

my R8 out of retirement and there was a “funky” material under the rewind lever. When I removed it I saw a perfectly round hole. 

Can anyone share a photo of this part of the R8 for me to compare?

My Motor-R  on my R9 has a odd looking coating that looks like a clear matt top coat over a satin black base coat. This top coat is peeling off.

If you could provide a picture of the area and "problem" you are looking at that might help us others to better understand your request for help?

I don't know if the R8 and R9 are built in the same manner, but I would be happy to look at my R9 if that could be of help to you.
