Ivar B Posted January 27, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 27, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) If anyone should be looking for this lens, a major Norwegian dealer has a used one on sale for about Euro 6500, which is a good price I should think:https://interfoto.no/brukt-innbytte/leica/objektiv/leica-noctilux-m-75mm-f125-asph-bruktsalg-tilstand-3-4693710-p0000071158 It appears to be in very good condition.

This is actually an offer from the official importer in Norway, so 100 % safe.

Thanks for heads-up! Just snapped and after VAT reduction, it was around ~5700e. With that price I couldn’t resist, even that I had to make flight to Oslo! 😅 It seems it was demo unit, only bit dusty. No any kind of sign of actual use. I see it is removed from their web as well. You are in for a 100 % safe transaction - it is unthinkable that this company should be up to something. From Finland, bit over one hour flight so it didn’t even feel that I was abroad 😅 Dealer refused to send abroad and refused to even reserve so I was bit worried if they sell it during my trip to there...
Simon Posted February 12, 2019 Share #10 Posted February 12, 2019 Lucky! Not far at all. I completely understand the seller not wanting to ship the item. Too much can go wrong. Also, wouldn’t you have to pay a huge tax if you did get it sent? Getting it tax-free would justify flying from almost anywhere! Let’s see that beauty! I always enjoy these statements. How do you think Leica products make it to Norway? There is insurance ... and the seller should have at least reserved it for 48 hours. Import duties apply (if at all in this case) no matter how goods reach the country 😬 You do not want to propose something, do you.
Simon Posted February 12, 2019 Share #12 Posted February 12, 2019 I agree the seller should’ve offered to hold it or take a deposit. Fortunately it worked out for the best in the end.
oka Posted February 13, 2019 Share #13 Posted February 13, 2019 Photography is my occupation, so I can reduce sales tax on any photography purchases which I make in EU. Actually in Nordic countries, there are no tax free if you live in another Nordic country. I'm now registered customer on the dealer so in future they promised they can reserve the products... Truth be told, that probably accounts for all my Leica gear, with the exception of the TL2 ... but then the selection of camera and lens, the consideration of the image, deciding the appropriate settings and making the exposure has given me immeasurable pleasure for years. Once taken, I feel no need to preview the image on the back of the camera. The next bit of the pleasure is seeing the image emerge and proceesing it to an approximation of what was in my mind when I made the exposure. The feel of the camera and lens in the hand, the pleasure of moving the controls ... none of this has anything to do with image exposure. In all honesty, nor does the knowledge of lines per millimetre from the centre to the edge of the image field or anything like that.
