Hi, I recently bought a 5cm collapsible Summicron for my M6 and it seems that the 50mm frame lines do not display. I was wondering if this was a problem for other users? Manually changing the frame works but I would love it for the frame lines to stay...Is it because its an old lens? Should I just grab a modern one instead?

Thanks

I assume then that it's an ltm Summicron with an M adapter? Most likely the cause of the 5cm frameline not showing is that it's the wrong adapter. What framelines do show?

If you take the adapter off it should say what the adapter is for, they come in three main types for modern M cameras, 28 - 90, 35 - 135, and 50 - 75 and this is the correct one.
