Neil Macmillan Posted January 16, 2019 Share #2 Posted January 16, 2019 I like the expression at play here: a good moment, though the side of the hat and the right shoulder areas are inching toward burnout. Any chance of getting more textural detail there?

Any chance of getting more textural detail there? Thanks much, Neil. I'm afraid the only option would be to gray down the bright white and I really am not fond of that look. The scene was much brighter on one side than the other (window light) and unfortunately there's just no detail in the negative to work with. Had I known what I was doing back in those days I'd have exposed more for the highlights than for the shadows. I was still a novice in 1978.
