wjdrijfhout Posted January 13, 2019 Share #2 Posted January 13, 2019 Looks to me a sensor issue and looks very similar to what I had many years ago with an M240, brand new out of the box. I went back to the dealer and Leica replaced it immediately, within 2 days. How old is your camera? Has it always been there, or did it just show up? james.heredia Posted January 14, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted January 14, 2019 Its exactly a year old, bought it last year around this time. I called up Leica store Miami where I bought it, hope to hear back soon.
adan Posted January 14, 2019 Share #4 Posted January 14, 2019 Hard to tell from the full-frame sample (too small) - does the line run the full width (into the shadow on the right) or does it stop halfway? Because it looks like a read-out error. To save time, most sensors are "read" from both ends at once, the right half of the picture out through a different set of contacts/wiring than the left half. <--[ | ]--> Not that it actually matters much - definitely a warrantied flaw whether sensor or downstream electronics, and will need to go to Leica in any case. jto555 Posted January 15, 2019 Share #6 Posted January 15, 2019 A stuck pixel. Lecia can map it out, but unfortunately it is a return to Leica issue.
schllnbrgr Posted January 18, 2019 Share #7 Posted January 18, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) had the same problem with a new m10. this is caused by a "hot pixel". just contact Leica support. they need some sample pictures and will create a custom firmware for you to map out the pixel (should take about 2-5 days until they respond with the firmware) After installing the new firmware the problem ist gone!
