Peter L #1 Posted January 11 What is the approximate value of a mint used Q and how does one find the number of shutter movements. I am thinking of selling my Leica Q, as I have hardly used it over the past 2 years . The Q is a fantastic camera, however, only if one uses it .
wellfleet #2 Posted January 11 I'd check here for pricing - https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/board/10 Re: shutter count - it's on a service menu not available for public viewing. Remember, it's a leaf shutter so its life should be longer than a focal-plane one.

Hello, I don't mean to pry, but what camera or system do you use that makes you neglect your Q. Just curious.
Peter L #4 Posted January 12 (edited) No prying at all, I have just not been able to make myself go out and do some serious photography. Both of my Labradors passed away in the past 2 years, so I don't get out in nature much anymore, except for X-country skiing. I don't take my Leica Q Xcountry skiing as I don't want to impale myself on the Q For some grab shots that I take occasionally, I use my smartphone, which is obviously nowhere near the quality of the Leica Q, but suits the purpose. The Leica Q is a very fine camera, probably the most enjoyable of many Leica cameras both film and digital, that I have owned. m9photo #5 Posted January 12 Price I've seen for used Q is around US$3k - $3.5k, depends on condition and what's included (extra battery, grip, etc).

Hard to impale yourself if you keep the camera in a bum bag or your rucksack Not worse than your Thermos bottle.
