danieldouloslee Posted January 9, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 9, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Would anyone know if the Leica SF26 flash works on the M6 TTL? I haven't been able to find any answers and would greatly appreciate your insights!
Advertisement Posted January 9, 2019 Posted January 9, 2019 Hi danieldouloslee, Take a look here Leica SF26 Flash on M6 TTL?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
plaidshirts Posted January 9, 2019 Share #2 Posted January 9, 2019 No, because you won't be able to make any manual flash adjustments as the SF26 is controlled via the camera menu. It may work in full A mode but I'm not sure about that. You'd be better off with an SF24 or SF20, which I use.
Ko.Fe. Posted January 12, 2019 Share #3 Posted January 12, 2019 From its manual: SUITABLE CAMERAS The Leica SF 26 was developed for Leica digital cameras of the M-, T- and X- series that automatically adjust the flash exposure by means of the guide number. In addition, the Leica SF 26 can be used on other Leica S, R and M models as well as different analogue and digital Leica compact cameras. In addition, manual SLAVE mode is available. Either the hot shoe contact or the integrated metering cell is used for firing. ------ Clear as mud. All I know it works on my M-E. I would try to figure out if M9 and M6 TTL flash modes are different or the same.
CFAGil Posted April 27, 2021 Share #4 Posted April 27, 2021 I tried my SF26 on my newly acquired M6. It did not work.
