setuporg Posted January 4, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 4, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I started shootings with the M246 alongside a color Leica body (M60 and M10). I found that as the darkness falls, the Monochrom shines. Our low-light perception is quite colorless and the B&W conveys the feeling of the evening and the night best of all. Would certainly be Hopper’s camera if he were a photographer. The high ISO performance of the 246 is quite astonishing with Summiluxes. Do you find doing more evening photography with the Monochrom? a.noctilux Posted January 4, 2019 Share #2 Posted January 4, 2019 😇 Time to discover Noctilux, then: Quote ... Furthermore, this lens allows me to shoot when other photographers cannot, it is not referred to as the “king of the night” and named Noctilux (“Light of Night” in Latin) for nothing. ... taken from " LEICA NOCTILUX ...WHY ? " BlackandWhitePhotos ...Noctilux Monochrom (and Noctilux/Summilux/etc. ) shines also when light is generous 🔆
setuporg Posted January 5, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted January 5, 2019 I do have a Noctilux, although a silver one, and it will go on the Monochrom soon!
setuporg Posted January 6, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted January 6, 2019 I've also discovered that the Monochrom shines when the weather is gloomy, it just rained or is going to rain, and the colors are bleak. When I hesitate to take long a color camera, the Monochrom suddenly becomes a great idea! When it's too dark for the color ones out comes the M246 with a Lux on it. A whole new set of options opens up!
