If you are an aviation buff and find yourself anywhere near Blenheim, New Zealand you owe it to yourself to visit their Aero museum, built up mostly from Peter Jackson's private collection, with dioramas created in his Weta Workshop.  Here we see Lydia Litvyak by her Yak - 3Ua. She was a Russian WWII ace, and of soldiers stripping anything of valuable from Baron Von Richthofen's body after he was shot in the chest by a rifle bullet, and then crashing

Fantastic! Judging by the fact you were shooting with a 35mm lens, you were really close to the other plane. Hope you wore a chute.

Yes, really close. Only permitted because my pilot is an F111 fighter pilot and the other (red plane) pilot is a Qantas Jumbo Jet pilot. They both have clearance for formation flying. I have some more interesting pics from that and other occasions. If  I can find them all I will post some more.

Excellent. I'll look forward to seeing them.

Following on from my posts #8 & 9 of my then 13 yr old grandson on his first ever flight, I now offer him 3 years later and he has jointed the RAAF Air Cadets and is flying himself. pictures here in another Tiger Moth at Moorabbin (Melb). Two images; (a) straight pic, (b) my preferred version in sepia.

Camera: M9 + 75 Cron (I think).

Gliders - like this beloved Rhonbusard I flew so many times above Belgium some70 years ago - also need piloting skills...and four inches wool thread fixed to the pitot tube mount to control flight (to be clearly seen here).
