ramarren Posted December 19, 2018 Share #21 Posted December 19, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Deleting individual frames was more important in an era when a 256 megabyte storage card cost $100 ... I would delete all the exposures that I didn't like in-camera after a session so as to save precious space on my cards in order to keep shooting. Nowadays, a 128 gigabyte storage card costs around $35 and holds more than 2000 raw exposures, so I don't delete anything at all, rarely fill a card in a reasonable number of sessions, and just format the cards after they've become full and I have archived the contents if I don't just put the card away and buy another to use. Different contexts support different workflows.

tommonego@gmail.com Posted December 21, 2018 Author Share #22 Posted December 21, 2018 I always format the card in camera, never just delete the files. Giving the card a second chance. If it does the same thing then it's a defective card. Tom
