quixotic Posted December 6, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 6, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I took my R4s out in the cold today (about minus 10 degrees C) and found that sometimes the shutter would release at the initial pressure stop (ie, the point where the viewfinder display initially lights up) instead of the 2nd pressure stop. Anyone else had this happen to them? Thanks in advance. Evan
Advertisement Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Hi quixotic, Take a look here Leica R4s and premature shutter release. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wagner Posted December 6, 2018 Share #2 Posted December 6, 2018 Hi Evan! Had the same problem in 2007 with my R4s. Was repaired locally for +- 90 $ . (one component of the electronic needed replacement) Not sure, if a repair is still possible. Torsten
quixotic Posted December 7, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted December 7, 2018 Well, at least it makes a very attractive door stop.
