yyc101 Posted November 28, 2018 Share #1  Posted November 28, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone, i recently started using a brand new R6.2 that was once my grandfathers. It sat in the box for many years and I decided it was worth trying. I have used it for the past few months and love it. Took great photos and for someone just getting into film, has given me a great experience. I recently went to load more film after having it sit empty for a two weeks since my last trip and was unable to do so. The shutter release will advance with no resistance; but it will not pull the film forward to load it properly. Does anyone know what this issue could be? I don’t know if it’s a shutter release problem, or perhaps an issue with the rewind release (it doesn’t appear to be stuck). Any ideas?  Thanks! masjah Posted November 28, 2018 Share #2  Posted November 28, 2018 I don't know anything about the R6.2, so this is purely a speculative suggestion which may be irrelevant and even meaningless. Does the R6.2 have a facility for making a double exposure? If you've inadvertantly set this, would it create the symptoms you describe? (Again, apologies if this is nonsense.)
ramarren Posted November 28, 2018 Share #3  Posted November 28, 2018 It sounds like the rewind clutch on the film advance is sticking to me. Try pressing the button while jiggling the advance lever or turning the film sprocket barrel a bit.

I’m hoping it can be fixed or they have some ideas.

Yes there is a mechanism for double exposure- you press the rewind button and rotate the film back. This is not the issue I don’t think as I have rotated the film I’m both directions. Thanks for the suggestion!
