Traveled with 50 pounds of Canon (1DXmkii and 5dsr), 5 Canon L lenses, leica m10 and 90apo, 35fle, and 50cron. Lots of filters, chargers and batteries.

I have a $20,000 rider on my homeowners policy and don’t worry about loss or theft.

As said you need to notify Leica. If/when an item is returned for service or repair you might get it back (or the insurer, as it is their property once a claim is paid).

I did. Also I notified all camera dealers and pawn shops in Berlin.

Guess it will take sometime, before the camera eventually reappears...

I’ll just point out that on another similar thread topic (Theft), details of the leica Owners area give details of how to keep a proof of ownership record of all your lenses and bodies ( Serial numbers and photographs)  on a Leica database.   Non Leica equipment can be included.  Once registered, anyone acquiring your equipment legitimately or through dubious channels will be unable to register the item without your help.  I recommend every owner to make use of that facility.

Today, my Domke F-803 bag with my Leica M10, Visoflex and 35 Summilux was stolen while having lunch in a restaurant in Berlin.

In case someone offers you the camera, visoflex or lens, let me know.

LEICA M10 Serial No. 5191557

LEICA SUMMILUX-M 1:1,4/35 mm ASPH. Serial No. 4697540

Leica Visoflex (Typ 020) Serial No. PA015243

Hope it gets found...
