Hello everyone.
Forgive me in advance if that question was already asked, but I didn't manage to find any topic.

I want to sell semi-used Summilux 35 / 50mm Asph. versions and Zeiss 21mm
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any decent commissionary store in Russia, only option is to sell them to people, but it can take a lot of time.

So, are there any effective ways to sell them in Europe?
I have all the paperwork, boxes and stuff

Thanks

Haven't you access to ebay ? Or, here in the Forum there is a Buy&Sell Section.

I do have access to E-bay, but in Russia the post service is a tricky one (I wanted to write shitty)
That's why I wanted to travel to Europe and sell to the store.

@CptSlevin Further to my earlier reply, if I can help at all by acting as an intermediary then please feel free to contact me by DM (Direct Message).

Our postal system is the oldest in the world and works very well. The stuff that arrives can be 'shitty' but that's another matter. 😁

Most dealers in Europe will buy for cash but you'll probably get the least return, as the dealer then has to sell them on for a profit and provide a warranty.

Some dealers will take your gear and sell it on a commission basis. They charge something like 20% of the sale price for this. You get paid after they've sold them.

I can recommend Meister Camera (Leica Store Berlin) for fair prices -you'll never get as much as in a private sale but you are rid of all the hassle- and correct handling of the sale.

Meister Camera in Hamburg is also fantastic. I sold my M6 through them. It was a breeze.

oh, that's amazing as I purchased my leica gear here :)

B) well … at least you have a chance to verifiy "in the flesh" how is a dealer's business : buy - sell - rebuy - resell (the SAME item) is one of the many dreams of a smart dealer :)

(and don't worry too much about money : one of my very few "silly sales" was when i sold my Summicron C 40mm... in Italy… 1,5 years after I saw it sold in Germany by another dealer… 1,67x the money I put in my pocket (*) … oh well that's the business… B))

(*) VIRTUAL pockets … was a funny negotiation about a Summilux 50... the net effect was anyway something OUT of my pockets:rolleyes:

Probably the reason so many Leica dealerships have disappeared in recent years is the high levels of VAT (Sales tax) applied to new equipment. Used equipment is subject to different VAT rules. Bizarre, but it costs dealerships and makes profit very difficult.

Recently I spotted a Leica shop in Porto. We went in and they were charming. They are the last remaining shop in the whole of the Iberian peninsular. How sad is that? They have to sell new equipment with 23% VAT added to the base price.

No shops in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Burgos, Malaga, Lisbon, or any of the rich cities. Last bastion in Porto. Ho sad is that?

In Madrid https://www.fotocasion.es.  On their website they do not advertise the second-hand material, but I can tell you that it is one of the most stocked stores in Europe. telephone (+34) 91 539 7490 - 91 467 6491.

In Spain, VAT is "only" 21%, not for 2nd hand.
