90 APO

Yes.  Limited by the atmosphere, in this case.  It always surprises me how sharp it is.  It has a little CA; in that respect the 75mm is a little better.  (On the SL the 75 and 90mm Summicrons are a cut above still because they eliminate these aberrations, and so the pictures look cleaner still.)

I recently traveled out west and limited myself during one of the days to two lenses 90 apo and a 35 FLE lux.

This is one of the 90mm images.  I am struck by the sharpness and contrast produced by this lens

I love this lens too.  Did you use approx. f/8 for these pictures?

What is quite heavy is sharpening in PP here if you ask me :D. Just kidding. More seriously, the 90/2 apo is indeed bulky (78 x 64mm, 500g) compared to other M lenses but less so than the Elmarit 135/2.8 (114 x 66mm, 735g) by a significant margin.

Actually very little sharpening. Yes it’s bulky but then again my go to camera is a canon 1dx mark ii

My 90 Tele Elmarit is actually easier to travel with but not as accurate

90mmAPO taken with M10, 1/15, f4, iso 3200 on tripod

this lens is remarkable.

Wouldn't attempt a slow exposure unless he was asleep.
