M10 Wifi/WLAN question

I want to set up my M10 to join my home wifi, but I'm having trouble.

I select WLAN from the menu.

The onboard network starts automatically.

The "Connection Type" field (where I presume I would select "Join WLAN") is greyed out.

I then have "Turn WLAN off" available. Selecting that shuts the network off and turns off the display.

How do I access the option to join a network?

You cannot join any existant network with the M10 since it got Firmware 2.6.5.0.

This Firmware was introduced for the Leica Fotos App which connects only to the WLAN created by the camera.

That seems like a step backwards, but I know Leica likes t simplify things.

It's definitely a step backwards. And the creation of the camera network is ridiculously slow. I usually have to wait 45 seconds before the network becomes available and often have to remove the battery and restart to get it to work. What I find even more irritating is that there's no way (that I've seen), apart from switching the camera off, to stop the WLAN initialization while it's trying to create the network.

Leica may want to simplify things, but this (2.6.5.0) is buggy and removes an even simpler method of WLAN connection ie an ad hoc network.
