James6714 Posted November 30, 2018 Share #26 Posted November 30, 2018 My order was placed on Nov 1 in Toronto, Canada. The dealer initially said within 2 weeks, later end of Nov, now end of Dec........😪 Is anyone the same as me in Canada?
a.noctilux Posted December 1, 2018 Share #27 Posted December 1, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) M10-D of first batch all sold out that is very good thing for Leica. But so long waiting time can ruin this "succes story" 😵. Maybe, there is not so many people waiting for M10-D on waiting lists, so next batch can wait more than expected. i-Leica Posted December 8, 2018 Share #28 Posted December 8, 2018 Online store Wetzlar still has a lot of M10-D - looks like people are not interested anymore.....

The new Leica paradigm seems to be, understandably, that you keep stock in Leica Stores. I can see that it’s also available in HK dealers. I would order it, but I like to support my local dealers (Photo and Video International in Christchurch and Progear in Auckland) - they’ve always been very good to me, and the local importer (Lacklands) is also very good considering how small our market is, and how remote. First rate service. I suspect mine is the sole order in the country, so I’ll just have to be patient (notwithstanding that I confirmed my order on announcement). I have no shortage of equipment to keep me entertained over Christmas, I guess. I doubt this is a product run that will last for long. James6714 Posted December 8, 2018 Share #32 Posted December 8, 2018 Thanks i-Leica for the link. Also agree with ikarusJohn about supporting my local shop, if the wait is like 3 months, then I will order from other country's store. This morning checked B&H and they too are on back order, so I guess NA is in the same situation. James
scott kirkpatrick Posted December 9, 2018 Share #33 Posted December 9, 2018 I don't think the stores understand the M10-D. When I signed up for their first one, my favorite store was surprised and a little puzzled. They were even more surprised to have several others take places on the wait list or request notification. But they haven't received a second unit from Leica USA yet.
James6714 Posted December 9, 2018 Share #34 Posted December 9, 2018 I kind of understand what you mean by the store doesn’t understand the m10-d, not many people do, it is extremely niche product, “different horse for different course “
IkarusJohn Posted December 13, 2018 Share #35 Posted December 13, 2018 Mine arrived today (manufactured 23 November 2018).
scott kirkpatrick Posted December 13, 2018 Share #36 Posted December 13, 2018 (edited) Hmmm. My -D, from the first shipment that Leica USA sent out, was 533xxxx and manufacture date was 2018/10/2. It reached the dealer on 10/24, which was the announcement date. Edited December 13, 2018 by scott kirkpatrick
Pravda Posted December 14, 2018 Share #37 Posted December 14, 2018 I think availability is largely subjective based on markets. Here in Dubai they're several pieces in stock at LeicaUAE.com

Last few days or the end of October? I am trying to gauge the next shipment date for North America.
