Is it possible to add the “advance” lever (from the M10D)to the M10/M10P ?

I would love to upgrade my M10P.

Have a look at your top-plate. 

 

You might be able to pay Leica to swap your top plate for an M10-D one, but a pound to a penny says that would cost more than trading in your current camera for a new one, even if it would fit.

It seems unlikely because the arm would pivot upon the on/off/timer switch.

The on/off switch then goes where exactly? Nikon style?

It was more a joke than a real question. 

The real question was why didn’t Leica offer the lever on the M10-P ?

I like the fact that it liberate the accessory shoe from the thumb rest for the Visoflex.

Because the design of the -D is a throwback to the film Leica Ms.
