enboe Posted October 25, 2018 Share #1 Posted October 25, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) So my M10-D is waiting at the store for my return from business travel. It should be a fun weekend. In the mean time, I have questions on the features. Does the camera go to sleep when left in the "On" position? If so, after how long? If the camera has gone to sleep, does the top-plate button next to the shutter release wake it up? If so, how quickly? Last question for tonight - does anyone have a link to the instruction manual? Leica only lists the M10 and M10-P. Thank you. Eric
Advertisement Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Hi enboe, Take a look here M10-D Sleep and Wake feature query (and where's the manual?). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
elmars Posted October 25, 2018 Share #2 Posted October 25, 2018 The Auto off time is two minutes. After that the camera awakes pressing the shutter button halfway.
UliWer Posted October 25, 2018 Share #3 Posted October 25, 2018 On the Leica site you only find a "Quick start guide" yet. In it they say that the default for Auto off was ten minutes, but it is not clear whether you can change this.
chris_tribble Posted October 25, 2018 Share #4 Posted October 25, 2018 It's possible they're waiting for the FOTOS app to be capable of adjusting settings (when I had hands on with the M10-D this wasn't possible). UNTIL you can adjust settings via the app, it seems that the only controls direct you have are: ISO (via the top dial) Shutter Speed + Aperture priority / manual EV compensation Aperture (on lens) Time / Date (via button press combination) So far as I can remember, you can adjust ISO / WB and Shutter speed + File format / JPEG resolution / metering mode / WB via the FOTOS app, as you can with the M10. N.B. some these settings seem to be "sticky" - which is good and bad, as once you've disconnected from the app you can't re-adjust WB etc directly on camera. If you have the EVF you can see what settings have been applied (as you would with live view) Hope you have fun!
