euston Posted November 15, 2018 Share #41 Posted November 15, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) FWIW my 27” iMac (2017) on Mojave has never had a problem with any version of Photoshop CC. It’s now running on macOS 10.14.1 and I updated Photoshop CC yesterday to release 20.0.1. As far as I can tell, everything is still working flawlessly together. Advertisement Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Hi euston, Take a look here Issue with Photoshop CC 2019 Version 20.0. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
zeitz Posted November 19, 2018 Author Share #42 Posted November 19, 2018 I downloaded Photoshop CC 2019 20.0.1 today. I went to the Preferences/Performance page to check" Use Graphics Processor", and there are some substantial changes to the page including a statement of what graphics card my computer has, elimination of that odd Asian statement and an "Advanced" subpage. So far Photoshop CC 20.0.1 runs successfully with no issues. But I have not opened and closed Photoshop often enough to be sure; the changes give me some confidence that the problem has been addressed. Adobe did do what the customer support person told me they would do. I am suspicious that the problem only occurred with some graphics processors and certain file sizes. zeitz Posted November 19, 2018 Author Share #44 Posted November 19, 2018 Oh, yes. I am using it. It's like any "repair". You don't know it's repaired until it works correctly on a regular basis.

The text engine options are still in the Type preferences.

Eg offline storage media - can you buy an 8” floppy drive still? Well, 8" disks are all over the place, like for instance Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/floppy-diskette-5-WORKING-GIFTS-PROMOTIONS/dp/B01N1JRQ0E For the drive itself, they are still on eBay, even new https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-VINTAGE-SYCOR-145-DUAL-8-FLOPPY-DISK-DRIVE-350-340-SMART-COMPUTER-TERMINAL-/332871748147
zeitz Posted November 20, 2018 Author Share #47 Posted November 20, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks, Euston. I had forgotten where that text engine thing was hidden. So far so good on 20.0.1 opening with no issues.
