Red Clipping with CL in Capture One

Hi, I've noticed that I get a lot of highlight clipping on reds with images from my CL with Capture One.  I haven't noticed this in Lightroom (but don't use LR anymore). Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions? (I will report to C1 as well, but thought I'd asked experienced CL users as well).

I've noticed that the metering and shutter calibration of the CL is just slightly (like about 0.15 EV) closer to the clipping limit than the M-D is. So where I tend to use +.3 to +.7 EV on the M-D a lot, I tend to use +0 to +.3 on the CL about the same amount.

Minor differences in the raw processing algorithm or camera calibration profile, most likely.

I've not got on with Capture One very well. Lightroom works fine for me, as do Affinity Photo and a couple of other raw converters I use occasionally.

  • 2 weeks later...

I started using Capture One a few weeks back and I find the processing of the CL images better than LR (just my feeling, I know I'm not a pro). I now only use Capture One and after those few weeks I feel that I can leave LR. I love the "skintone colour balance"  of CO where you can pick a part of the skin tone and then blend the surrounding skin colours with it.

Also, layers (max 9) are possible and the option of sessions and catalogs is something I like.
