My 2 cents -- The first shot is strong -- great work with panning.  The second shot looks like camera shake.  It has a surreal quality and if that was your goal it's good shot.

I prefer #1 which I consider just short of superb.  I suspect it would be stronger cropped to have them slightly off center, either way

That's a very nice catch and shows good technique, but this is no way to pick up a lady for a date.
