Q- Is there something that three companies will decide on the specification of L mount?

Basically, the hardware part remains unchanged. I think that there is room for expansion such as upgrading signals and data exchanged among them. We will talk with three companies to become a system with a deep lens interchangeable camera.

In the digital photography, the matching of the sensor and the lens and the SW or firmware are critical to the combined performance. Simply a L or M mount camera does not imply the same picture even with exact the same lens.

I don’t expect a happy marriage of Leica Lens on non-Leica body or non-Leica lens on Leica body. Particularly on the short flange fistance mirror less, not ont short focal length.
The best you can hope is the native nonLeica lenses on nonLeica body. Say Panasonic L mount lens on Panasonic L mount camera, or Sigma L mount Lenses on Sigma L mount camera. Even the inter marrage of Sigma and Panasonic could be questionable.

But then, how would it be different from the Sigma any mount or Panasonic any mount?

We can expect the L mount to allocate the lens codes to each partner, any also to support various function mode such as different AF mode, sensor assisted stabilization algorithms, 2x, macro extension, etc.

Whether Leica will disclose the lens compensation algorithm to the nonLeica body is questionable.

As far as I know, no nonnative lens can work on Canon or Nikon to match the native AF capability. The mount license will not disclose that secrete. It should be similar to think about the Leica image rendering secrete.
