bodchzak Posted October 4, 2018 Share #1 Posted October 4, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) What lenses could you not do without? For me, the 35mm Summilux and the 75mm APO Summicron are my go-to's. While the 35 is my landscape go-to, I can switch to the 75mm for intimate portraits. My one complaint about the 75mm is that the depth of field can be a bit tricky with a film M, but that's part of the character of it I think. I also have a Russian Fake of a Zeiss 50 Sonnar, but it's definitely got an 'artistic' rendering. What's in your bag?

ianman Posted October 4, 2018 Share #2 Posted October 4, 2018 The 28mm Summaron is permanently on one of my M's. If I could keep just one, it would be that.

evikne Posted October 4, 2018 Share #6 Posted October 4, 2018 What is essential depends on who you ask. To me, it is the 50mm Noctilux f/1.0 (but that's probably not among the most common answers).

SMAL Posted October 4, 2018 Share #11 Posted October 4, 2018 I think Peter would say the 50/0.95. For me personally it´s 24/35 Summilux and the 50/0.95 Noctilux.
luigi bertolotti Posted October 4, 2018 Share #12 Posted October 4, 2018 (edited) Summicron 35 asph, Macro Elmar 90, Summilux 50, Elmarit 21 asph. : that's for use. Cannot imagine not to have anymore a Summicron 50 and an Elmar 5cm: a Leicaman isn't a real one without… Then… there are the jewels I simply love to have… : SA 21 f4... Tele Elmarit 90...Alpine Elmar 105… Summarex 85... Telyt-S 800... (OK.. some of them aren't "M lenses" in strict term) Edited October 4, 2018 by luigi bertolotti
