I don't use mine much on the CL because i prefer the smaller size of the CV 21/4 but the SEM 21/3.4 asph is sharper at f/4 and has less flare than the CV. It has also less character in my view but this comes probably from its lack of obvious flaw besides a bit of softness at corners on closeups at full aperture. Couple of boring test pics linked below, all at f/3.4. Raw files processed my old way (Silkypix, CS3, Silver Efex) with no extra sharpening, cropping nor corner adjustment. No OoC colors though.
