traderjoe Posted September 25, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 25, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm sick. Just tried to update the firmware of my M-D. I've done this before with other Leica cameras with no problem but... After placing the .FW file on my formatted SD card, I inserted it into the camera when it was off. While holding the function button I turned the camera on and it show "UP" in the viewfinder as it is supposed to. After seeing the "UP", I released the function button and simultaneously the LED in the viewfinder went to "ERR" So thinking there was an anomaly, I did what they say don't do (when uploading), I turning the camera off thinking there was a simple fix. Now, in the OFF position, the camera still shows the "ERR" in the viewfinder and the light on the back of the camera is blinking twice every three or four seconds. What have I done and what should I do??? Thanks, Joe

traderjoe Posted September 25, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted September 25, 2018 Okay, thanks for your reply. I've calmed down a bit and had a conversation with a customer service technical guy and we couldn't get it to take the update but the camera is working properly so I dodge a bullet. He's going to get back after discussing with another tech.
