From 1971 until 1978 my camera was a IIIf and I just started to scan all the negatives I took during that time with it. I didn't find a place where Leica M39/Barnack camera photo's could be shared (other than the generic "I love film"thread) so at Andy's suggestion I start a new "open" thread where photo's taken with Leica M39/Barnack cameras can be shown, wether they're old or recent doesn't matter, obviously all mine will be old until I buy another M39 camera. Adding film/development data is a plus, but not required.

Here's my first to kick this thread off, a framed horse, taken somewhere around 1974

Great idea!

I am the opposite: I didn't own a Barnack till last February, and now I have a II(D), Standard and iif. I like them all, but the II(D) is probably my favourite......and the Standard has a special place as the absolute bare-bones camera..... and the iif was my first..........

Boiler welders, an old negative, probably taken around 1974, never managed a good darkroom print, but scanning and digital processing revealed something I never expected :)

1972, when some doubledeckers in London were old, and not only because of their licence plate ;)

Sadly none of the double deckers are open at the back anymore.  The facility is there but some H&S know-nothing has deemed it too dangerous so it's banned.  It made the bus more accessible and shortened the turnaround time at stops.  The run for the bus was probably healthy for sedentary office workers too.

The bus I took home from school in the 60s was like this. It roared up the hill past our house, then slowed for a RH corner (sometimes only minimally), after which was the bus stop. I perfected the technique of jumping off the bus platform as it slowed for the corner, thereby saving - ooh - about 30 secs of time getting home. H&S watching that now would have kittens.
